Almond croissants

Because I was waiting for a friend for coffee, I quickly made these very fragrant croissants, according to a recipe from an older magazine with French Christmas pastries.

  • 280 grams of flour,
  • 1 or,
  • 200 grams of butter,
  • 60 grams of sugar,
  • vanilla in stick or essence,
  • a little salt,
  • 100 grams of ground almonds.

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes


Preparation: in a larger bowl place the flour, sugar, almond powder, vanilla and salt. We make a fountain in the middle and put the egg and around it the butter cut into pieces.

Knead carefully until completely homogenous, it doesn't take long until we get a very firm dough from which to form a large ball.

We put it in a food foil and leave it in the fridge for at least an hour. Then form small crescent-shaped croissants and bake for 12 minutes in the preheated oven at 180 degrees. They are powdered hot with plain sugar or sugar mixed with vanilla sugar, are very fragrant and melt in the mouth.
